We have developed a range of coaching programs to meet the needs of
many cyclists. Our coaching programs are based on a consistent methodology which
integrates essential components such as continuous communication, effective goal
setting, skill development, specific training to meet the racing demands, and testing
and evaluation in a structured and effective way.
Training Plan, how does it work?
As part of the Advanced Cycling coaching programs, you receive a training plan with
daily training information. A training plan is a structured training schedule where
specific day-to-day information is communicated and where the principles of training
(individualization, overload, adaptation, progression, periodization, specificity,
reversibility) are imprinted. The type of workout, the duration, the intensity and
the frequency of the workouts that increase your fitness and determine your progress
are all part of the training plan.
The training information is adjusted periodically in your training plan according
to the coaching program. You can be confident that your training plan, regardless
of the coaching program you select, is designed judiciously around your goals, time
constraints, experience and response to training stimulus. I use an analytical and
detail-oriented approach and quantitative tools acquired through many years of engineering
education and professional experience to design and to enhance the effectiveness
of each training plan.
The training plan with detailed training information for each day in your training
cycle is uploaded and reviewed periodically. Every day you update the plan with
the data from your workouts and comments for that day. Your information is reviewed
and your progress is analyzed as frequently as determined by the coaching program
you have selected. Your progress, concerns, reactions, and questions regarding the
previous training period are discussed over the phone or e-mail. Using your feedback
and the information from the training log, your adaptation to the training routine
is evaluated and the steps in your next training period are discussed.
